Aida Gonzaga (Soprano) (Firenze 1879 - Milano 1972)
She studied singing with Vellani in Lisbon. She had first big success during the years after the turn of the 20th century in the leading opera houses in Spain and Portugal as well as in the theaters of Rio de Janeiro and San Paolo in Brazil. Here she appeared in ‘’Rigoletto’’, ‘’Lakme’’ and ‘’I Pescatori di perle’’. Appearances followed in the big Italian stages, among other things in Parma, Milan, Messina, Modena and Turin. She also made guest appearances in Havana, Odessa, Prague and St. Petersburg . She retired from the stage approximately in 1923.
