Silvio Costa Lo Giudice (Paterno 1895 - Roma 1982)
He was the younger brother of the tenor Franco Lo Giudice (1893-1990) and relative of soprano Maria Giudice (1870-1953). He had during the 1930s a significant career in the big Italian opera theaters including Teatro La Scala, where On 7. 3. 1934 he sang in the premiere of Lodovico Rocca’s opera ‘’Il Dibuk’’. In 1937 he appeared at the Italian opera in Holland. In 1939 he sang at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples in the premiere of the Jacopo Napoli’s opera ‘’Il Malato imaginario’’. He was also successfully active as a concert singer. The singer, who was married the soprano Maria Laurenti, after his retirement lived in Palermo.
