Giuseppe Krismer (Tenor) (Salerno 1876 - Pozzuoli, Naples 1946 )
His stage debut took place in 1902 at the Teatro Malibran of Venezia in G. Donizetti's ‘’La Favorita’’. Already in 1904 he sang at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna as Walther von Stolzing in ‘’I Maestri Cantori di Norimberga’’ under the direction of Arturo Toscanini. In 1904 he had at La Scala his first success as Duke in ‘’Rigoletto’’. In 1908 he sang at the Teatro San Carlo, Lisbon in ‘’Paolo e Francesca’’ of Luigi Mancinelli. In 1907 he appeared at the Teatro Costanzi in Rome in ‘’La Dannazione de Faust’’ of Berlioz. This part was repeated by him also in 1910 at La Scala, Milan. He was still singing in 1922 at the Politeama Genovese in Genoa.
