Luigi Manfrini (Bass) (Milan 1880 - Milan 1931)
He began his career in 1908 in Italy. In 1914 he guested at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, where he appeared as comprimario. On 4. 8. 1914 he sang there in the premiere of the opera ‘’Il Sogno di alma’’ of Carlos Lopez Buchardo, likewise in 1914 as Titurel in the premiere of the ‘’Parsifal’’. In 1920 he performed at the Politeama Genovese in Genoa in ‘’Il Barbiere di Siviglia’’. In 1920 he guested at the Arena di Verona as Ramfis in ‘’Aida’’. At Covent Garden in London he appeared in 1926 (again as Ramfis in ‘’Aida’’) and 1930. In 1930 he fallen ill hard and had to give up his stage career.
