Luca Botta (Tenor) (Amalfi 1882 - New York 1917)
He was an Italian operatic tenor. Botta was born in Amalfi and studied singing at the Naples Conservatory before making his operatic debut as Alfredo in La traviata in 1909. He made his Metropolitan Opera debut as Rodolfo in La boheme on November 21, 1914, and appeared in 91 performances with the company until his early death from cancer. He died in New York City.
