Irma Vigano (Soprano) (Besana/ Brianza - ?)
She studied singing with Angelo Bettinelli and made her debut on 28 January 1919 at the Teatro Verdi in Firenze in ‘’Aida’’ with great success. In 1920 she appeared at the Teatro Custodians of Cairo in Egypt. In the autumn of 1924 she sang in Berlin (under the direction of Mascagni). She was acclaimed in all major theaters of Italy (Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Arena di Verona, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Teatro Regio di Parma, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Venice, Florence, Genoa, Trieste, Turin, Modena, Brescia, Bologna, Piacenza, Cremona, Cesena, Ravenna). She worked with Mascagni, Toscanini, Serafin, Zandonai and De Sabata. In Cairo, Teatro Kediviale she sang at the 50 anniversary of the first performance of ‘’Aida’’. In 1920 she also appeared in USA, Chicago Opera.
