Jose Palet (Tenor) (Martorel, near Barcelona 1877 – Milan 1946)
He studied singing in Barcelona and made his debut at the Liceu Theater in that city in 1900 with Donizettis ‘’La Favorita’’. He then began an extensive international career, especially in Italy, where he became an idol. A player of the Italian romantic repertoire, he left major phonographic recordings. He also played in Spanish operas such as ‘’Marina’’ (he sang at its first performance at the Gran Teatre del Liceu) and ‘’La Dolores’’.
